One hot summer day, he told Huck about his plan.%u201cWhere can we find treasure?%u201d Huck asked.%u201cRobbers hide treasure under old trees or in old houses,%u201d said Tom. %u201cLet%u2019s start digging under the old tree on Cardiff Hill. Come on!%u201dThe boys went to Cardiff Hill and started digging. It was a very hot day, and after a few hours, Huck said, %u201cThere%u2019s nothing here. I%u2019m hot and tired.%u201d%u201cLet%u2019s go to the haunted house. No one lives there, so we can look around,%u201d said Tom.%u201cBut haunted houses have ghosts,%u201d said Huck.%u201cGhosts only come out at night. It%u2019s daytime now, so we%u2019re fine,%u201d Tom replied.%u201cAlright,%u201d said Huck. They went to the haunted house. It was an old and quiet place. Everything inside was broken and dusty.
